Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my water pressure low?
Fixtures like faucets and showerheads have small screens inside of them. These screens get clogged up over time and can be cleaned or removed for better pressure. If the pressure is low in your entire home, it could be from a faulty pressure reducing valve, or an underground leak. We have a process we follow for narrowing down the problem when getting your pressure to the safest and most comfortable setting for you.
I have a leak, can you help me detect where it's coming from?
Yes, we can shut the main water to your house off and look at the water meter and tell if it’s between the house and the street. We can also dye test toilets and search each fixture for leaks to accurately tell if a toilet is running or a faucet is leaking. If you have a leak coming through your ceiling or walls, we can perform methods to find where that water is coming from and identify the source of the leak.
Why am I running out of hot water so quickly?
This could be because of the age of your water heater. Over years and years sediment eats up the inside of water heaters, eventually causing leaks and inefficient heating. Electric water heaters have elements that burn out. Gas water heaters have burners that cannot keep up with the sediment filled heater. It could also be from hot and cold water mixing at some fixture in your home. This can happen when mixing valves and temperature balancing valves go bad.
Why is my hot water fluctuating in temperature?
This could be because of the age of your water heater. Gas water heaters have burners that cannot keep up with the sediment filled heater. It could also be from hot and cold water mixing at some fixture in your home. This can happen when mixing valves and temperature balancing valves go bad.
Why is my water bill high?
Your water bill could be high due to a leak somewhere inside the home or underground between the house and the meter. Your water bill could also be high because of a dripping faucet, shower, hose bib, or other fixture. Toilets running can also shoot your water bill up a ton. We have methods of figuring out where the extra water is being used. Once you have your plumbing repaired, you can send your receipt with your high water bill to the county, and they should refund you the money you lost on the high water bills.
How can I get more pressure in my house?
We can usually get better pressure in the home by cleaning out screens in various fixtures like shower heads and faucets. We can also adjust your pressure reducing valve to give you higher pressure throughout the entire home. We can install and replace pressure reducing valves if they are faulty.
Why is my toilet rocking back and forth?
Your toilet may be rocking back and forth due to loose toilet bolts or flanges. We can install a new wax ring or new flange if needed to stop this problem.
